Shein Return Policy in 5 Steps

Whether you’re looking to return, exchange, or get a refund for your Shein order, we’ve got you covered. The Shein return policy isn’t complicated, but we’ll go over the ins and outs of Shein’s return options so that you can be sure to get your money back without any hassle. All you’ll have to do is follow the 5 easy steps down below.

Shein Return Policy

1st Return

The Shein return policy is simple and straightforward. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 45 days for a full refund or exchange. No returns will be accepted after 45 days from the date of purchase. All you need to do is use the shipping label that is provided by Shein and ensure it’s postmarked within the 45 day time limit. The first return is free of charge.

Additional Returns

If you need to make additional returns the returns must occur within 45 days of the purchase date, and you can either send back the items at your own cost using anything shipping method you want or use the shipping label Shein provides and pay a shipping fee of $7.99. Shein does not accept C.O.D.s for either exchanges or returns.

*It is highly encouraged that any items being shipped back for either a return or an exchange use a tracking number as Shein is not responsible for any stolen or lost items.

How to return an item to Shein

If you’re not happy with an item you’ve received from Shein, don’t worry! You can return it for a refund. Just follow the Shein return policy steps below:

1. Request a return by logging into your Shein account and going to the “My Orders” page.

2. Select the order containing the item you want to return, then click “Return Item.”

3. Choose the item(s) you would like to return and the reason for the return, then click “Submit.”

4. Choose the return method (either UPS or USPS) and print the label and affix it to your return package.

5. Drop off the package at your nearest post office or shipping center.

That’s it! Once we receive your returned item, we’ll process your refund or exchange and let you know via email. Note: The shipping label provided by Shein only works in the US.

*DO NOT send returns to the sender’s address on the package! Only send your return to the address on the shipping label provided by Shein.

Shein Refund Policy

Shein’s refund policy is straightforward just like it’s return policy. All refunds are processed within 7 days once Shein receives your package. Shein will issue a refund back to the original payment method or to your Shein wallet if you wish, but you must request which option you’d prefer. 

 A recent visit to Shein’s website (8/19/22) showed a disclaimer stating refunds are taking longer than normal (an additional 3 to 5 days) to process. This should only be temporary until Shein takes care of this issue.

What to do if your return is damaged or worn?

If you’re like some online shoppers, you probably don’t think twice about returns. You order something, it arrives, and if you don’t like it or it doesn’t fit, you send it back. Easy, right?

Unfortunately, you can only return items back to Shein if they are not damaged, haven’t been washed, and haven’t been worn. The other stipulation Shein’s return policy requires is that the returned items must have their original tags attached and the hygiene sticker intact.

The Shein return policy explicitly states the following items are not eligible for return: bodysuits, lingerie, jewelry, beauty products, underwear, event and party supplies, DIY supplies, pet supplies and accessories (except scarves, bags, and mermaid blankets). We cannot offer refunds on cosmetic if the hygiene seal has been broken.

Additionally, any items purchased with a non-returnable mark or free gifts from Shein can’t be returned.

Shein Return Policy Conclusion

Overall, the Shein return policy is pretty standard and fair. If you’re not happy with an item, you have 45 days to return it for a refund or exchange. There are some restrictions on certain items (like jewelry and lingerie), but generally speaking, you shouldn’t have any problems returning something if you’re not happy with it.

If you do have any issues with your return you can always contact Shein’s customer support center within 180 days from the date of purchase and they will do their very best to take care of your return issues.  But before it gets to that just make sure to follow the Shein return policy requirements and the original packaging, and you’ll be “Shein”-ing.
